Charges for office visits and surgery are determined by the time spent and vary with the severity or complexity of the problem. They are competitive with similar specialist fees in the area. An office visit fee is often the only fee charged for most general dermatology problems. However, some problems require additional procedures to enable the doctor to diagnose and treat your problem. These services include skin biopsies, fungal cultures, fungal scrapings, injections and tissue removal (warts). Additional charges are made for these services. We encourage patients to inquire as to the cost of any service or procedure. We are aware of the need to "hold down" your medical expenses. Billing We don't like to send bills, and the cost of paperwork and postage affects your medical expenses. (We require payment of all co-payments, deductibles and the time of service of eligible insurance plans.) Insurance will be filed on other cases requiring surgery or more extensive care. Otherwise, payment is expected at the time of service. Our office does not extend credit. We do accept credit cards (VISA & MasterCard).
